Anyone have towhooks?

Has anyone installed tow hooks on the front of their trucks? Do you think a pair of superduty tow hooks would work on the front of a 96 f-150 if i trimmed the valance?

I have one on the front. If I use a chain to pull (or be pulled) it interferes with the plastic below the bumper. However, it's 20 years old and that's about the least of my worries. If I use a smaller diameter cable then it's no issue at all.

i think it'll work just fine. plenty of people by assateague island have fishing racks on the front of there trucks with coolers and such. i dought it'll be that much different in the setup. my friend has a hook welded to his receiver so he didnt have to cut anything and it works fine.

Just took a few pics of the tow hook. Send me a PM and I'll send them along to you.
