low range won't engage

My regular 4x4 works fine, but when I push the low range button, the light doesnt flash and engage like the regular 4x4 one does. Anybody else had a problem like this?

for low range you need to have the tranny in neutral and sometimes the engine shut off. did you do that?

O i didnt know that. I looked in the manual and it didnt say anything about it, so I thought it just operated like the regular 4x4. Thanks, I will have to try that

The GEM won't complete the shift into low unless the truck is under 3mph with the brake set. So basically neutral, stopped, and working brake lights.
