converting 2x4 to 4x4

Well after alot of thought I want to figure out the cost and hours of converting this truck my self . im sick of getting stuck ing the snow and i wanna go offroad. a few quick ?. will it effect my gas mileage of course? and should i do it or have it done professionally? thanks

or any tips on how to get better traction,snow tires etc

well the back end of your tranny wont work so i recommend you go to a junk yard and get all the 4x4 components you'll need. driveshaft, transfer case, back end of tranny, not 100% sure about the rear drive shaft, differential (make sure gearing is the same), 4x4 shifter. and i have no clue how long it will take.

Yer lookin' at a couple grand to make it work. That's with a donor truck to get all the bits and pieces.
