For as long as I can remember the clutch pedal on my '95 F-150 has squeaked horribly when I let it out, it never makes a sound when I push it in. I've tried more than once to attack this problem with WD40 but haven't had any luck.
Is this just a flaw in the design, or is there somewhere in particular I can put WD40, or perhaps a thicker grease to take care of this problem?
Mine's done the same thing for 150,000 miles. I used the radio volume fix.
Yeah, the only problem there is that the whole 3 radio stations around here that I can stand to listen to all decide to do their seemingly endless commercial breaks at the same time!
Ok, so I decide to stop by Wal-Mart on my way in to work and get a can of white lithium grease. Ironically enough I got in the truck and the pedal didn't squeak this morning. The stupid thing squeaks every day for nearly two years until I decide to do something about it and then it magically stops.
I still stopped by Wal-Mart, bought grease and sprayed the hell out of the whole mechanism so maybe it won't squeak this afternoon!
May need new bushings. Check it, becuase if you wait too long like I did, the pedal assembly itself will wear down and you will end up getting a new set of pedals. Not too cheap when installed by the dealer.
