Red Line!

whats a 300 I6 redline at, my assumption is 5k or somewhere close, im installing a tach and am looking at what to set the redline at, anyone know?

You need to define what you mean by redline

The HP peak is 34-3500 and the auto-trannied versions shift at about 37-3800. If you rev it past 4000 all you're making is noise. If you're setting redline as the maximum shift point, use 4000.

But if by "redline" you mean the RPM where things start to come apart in short order, that's around 6000, if you mean the speed you do not want to exceed, that's probably somewhere around 5000. You pick

Mine redlines at 5,000, but its a 5.0L
