roughh running 6

I have a 91 straight 6 runs brealy bad. Had an EGR code ended up changing all from tube to switch. now it runs worse w/ no codes. I pulled the o2 censor trying to check cat, idle smoothed a little but still ran bad.
No power and seems to spit and sputter. plugs and wires arent old and did'nt help when they were changed last year.

Any help.

Sorry to post the obvious 1st:
Cap and Rotor?
Dirty Air Filter?
Clogged PCV?
Intake manifold leak?
Vacuum line leak?
Fuel Filter?
Clogged Injector?

What are your current codes?

It's showing no codes.
cap, rotor, PCV, and air filter are new.
possible vacuum leak. When I remove a vacuum, idle speeds up because of an increase in air. I have checked with vacuum guage it was fine.

I believe my cats are cloged, but I am not convinced that is the main problem.

there is a faint ticking on the intake side I can't locate I have disconnected all vacuum lines one at a time and ticking stays. Possible intake leak. How do I locate or verify?

Would clogged injectors throw a code?

I believe Adrianspeeder is asking exactly which EGR code you HAD before you cleared it.

I don't remember exactly I believe it was "out of specified range". I took it off to clean it and broke a bolt off. Then split the exhaust tube reinstalling it. The Exhaust tube had to be ordered from the dealer so I plugged it and capped off the EGR for a while untill I got time to fix.
after replacing EGR, tube and switch, before resetting codes It had several.

128 - Map sencor vacuum not greater than 2in
181 - right side lean durring part throttle
332 - EGR not opening (it had been removed)
334 - DPFE or EVP circuit above closed limit

I believe these were all stored codes.
I reset and drove around a few minutes then rechecked
no codes.

truck update

I gutted the first cat and that helped. Truck runs better now, but still running rough at speed below 2000 RPMs. runs better when warmed up.

will not stay running durring cold start. The IAC failed last month and I replaced it, worked fine untill now. Could be bad already I guess, have'nt tested.

Hesitates bad off the line, all the time.

All these symptoms were present with open exhaust before I welded it back up.

and I still don't know how to verify and locate an intake manifold leak.

Any Help
