Hello all,

I am currently trying to replace the sector shaft seal. I already have the pitman arm off, it is the snap ring or c-clip that is giving me the problem. I went out and bought snap ring pliers and still cant get it out. I am squeezing as far as the pliers go and trying to wiggle/pry/pull it out. Any techniques that I am not aware of? haha.

Try taking a screwdriver and prying one end of the snapring out after squeezing the snap ring pliers. Or get a bigger pair of snap ring pliers.

 

Well that worked like a charm. Got everything back together and right before class too! Thanks for your help!
