Fuel Problem

i searched the forums and couldnt really find a clear answer so sorry if i am asking a question that gets asked alot.

i went to start my truck today....and it wouldnt start...i noticed the pump was kicking on....so i switched to the rear tank and i hear that pump kick on and the truck started....now....i assume the pump is bad....is there a relay or something else that would cause it not to work? if not how bad is it to drop the front tank down and get to the pump? ive done this on a mustang a hundred times so i have a clue....what sucks is that i just filled the front tank completely full last night...any help would be great

I would pull the bed off and then you can change it without dropping the tank and it is also easier.

But make sure the pump is bad first and there is only one relay for both tanks.
