Question 1989 F-150 Towing Capacity?

I'm looking at a gently used 1989 F150 5.8L V8 automatic 4WD, that I've been told has either 3.75 or 4.10 rear axles (I don't know much about these things...I'm a relative truck newbie) -- and I'm trying to figure out the towing capacity of this truck.

I'm looking for something to haul a small 2-horse bumper-pull horse trailer on trips of ~200mi or less...and I'm wondering if this truck will get the job done for me.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

My truck is a 90 and i have 3.55 gears. As far as reliability its a 89 so u have your chances but my truck has never given me a problem or broken down on me(knock on wood).

Take a pic of the sticker on the driver's door jamb and post it.

I'm guessing it's good to somewhere from 5000# to 7000#.

I have a 351, auto, 4x4 and it pulls a 2 ton boat no problem at all. 3.55 LS axle in it. I don't know how much 2 horses weigh, but I bet a horse weighs less than 2000 lbs.
