where does the water go?

ive got a 96 with the 300, i cant find a leak, but i can smell the coolant when i back up. the truck has a new radiator and new hoses. wherever the water is coming out, its evaporating before i can find it. this is a very slow leak, i only put water in it about every other week.

Smell the exhaust....... do a compression test. May be a bad head gasket?

Intake manifold, water pump, throttlebody (if it has coolant lines through it), etc. Good luck. These small coolant leaks can have ya chasin yer tail...

What i would recommend is take a coolant compression tester pump it up to 15 lbs and see where its leaking from.

Look under the carpet, both driver and passenger sides. Might be a leaky heater core.
