95 F-150 Won't start without a jump
Hey everybody,
I have a 95' f-150 with the 4.9l and it won't start without a jump. When you jump it, it starts right up, but no matter how long it is on for, it won't start up once turned off. I deep charged the battery and noticed some corrosion on the terminals so I changed them. Is the reason it won't start the alternator? I would think it wouldn't stay on once jumped if the alternator was bad but I'm not sure. Maybe the battery is bad? Also, on a separate note, the battery tray is pretty rusty and has holes in it now, anyone know where I can buy a replacement?
Thanks,
Jake

Many parts stores test batteries, alts., & starters free in the parking lot. Call around. And most replacement battery terminals are CRAPOLA. You didn't get the black & red ones, did you? The only good kind are solder-on, but crimp-on is OK.
Get a battery tray at a junkyard. Rust on the tray indicates a leaky battery.
