New Rims

Hey all, bought some new rims for my upcoming lift and such, though I have a problem. I bought some used ones for $50 each, not bad for a set of outlaw 2s, though there are some specks of paint or something on top of the clear coat finish. Any recommendations on how to get it off without damaging the finish? I've tried meguiars cleaner and it didn't do much at all so I am thinking I will try a solvent next. You all have a good day, thanks for your help.

if you use extreme caution you could gently scrape it off with a razor. Then buff out the smaller areas with a powerball or dremel tool w/buffing wheel.

Sounds like a good plan, was hoping to use chemical warfare on this battlefield. Though you are probably right, have to manually get it off. I might have time tomorrow to get em out and start cleaning em up some more. Thanks for the suggestion. later
