F350 4x4 dually quad cab 4x4 build

I'm trading an old 87 6.9L diesel engine that I have to a co-worker for a 1994 F350 quad cab 2wd - it had a 7.3 but I will be getting it minus the engine. He wants the mechanical 6.9L for his boat. He was an International truck tech for 25yrs. I have a 97 7.3PSD here to put in the truck from an E350 van, besides the drivers side exhaust manifold is there anything else I need to put it in? The van is running and drivable right now.

I'm planning to convert it to 4x4, my buddy has an ex-CN railway service truck in his junkyard, it's about a 1990 quad cab 4x4 dually with the heavy duty Dana 60 front end and the larger rims/tires. Are the frames different between 2wd and 4wd? I can get both axles, driveshafts, springs/hangers and the t-case from the 90. My PSD has an E40D and I believe the 94 will be coming with one too. I also have the C6 that was on the 6.9L as well. The CN truck has a 351W with a C6 I believe so at the very least I should be able to gear up a 4x4 tranny and t-case for the swap using the C6.

I paid $1500cdn for the van, zero for the 2wd F350 and maybe a few hundred for the 90 F350 4x4 driveline....The CN truck has massive front manual locking hubs, are the railway trucks any different than the regular F350 4x4's?

The price is right eh?...LOL...I'll probably get it running in 2wd mode first and then add the 4x4 front end....Still undecided on the dually part yet. Kinda limits me on big rubber and I also have to by 6 tires instead of 4...I'd like to see it with 33's or 35's on it maybe. The rims on the donor are 8.5R x 19's....I'll need to change the front hubs if I decide to go with regular 8 bolt wheels instead of the dually gear.

I hear ya...LOL....Kinda what I was thinking. I'll need different front hubs for the std 8 bolt wheels, the front axle I'll be using has the offset dually wheels on it.
