O2 sensor questions on a 300 I6

Every once in a while my engine light comes on and when I hook it up to the scanner spits out Bank 1 & Bank 2 reading lean... bank 2 most of the time. Both O2 sensors are about a few months old, could something else be tripping that code(s)?

Thanks

So ask yourself if the sensors are working perfectly, what does that mean?
If you don't have a bad sensor, then you have a lean condition. Look for a leak somewhere between your mass air meter and the block. It could be in the rubber hose between the meter and the T/B or at any of the gaskets in the intake proper.

Why does EVERYONE assume that every code means a sensor is bad???

The code definition is "...lean condition...". Wouldn't you FIRST suspect maybe the engine IS running lean?
