Question 4x4 non-limited slip converted to LS? Possible?

Hey Guys,

Is it possible to convert a non-limited slip 4x4 to a limited slip version on a 96 F150?

Thanks,
CMOS

if you are asking how hard it is than it is best you take it to a mech., make sure it is a good shop, seting up axles is very time consuming and takes pateince to do, it costs $200-500 for the labor alone(depending on location) and there are many difrnt choices when it comes to LS and Lockers for the truck, first you need to find out what rear axle you have in your truck, once you know that start looking at these brands, detroit, auburn gear, trak-lock(stock LS used by ford) power lock(made by dana spicer) eaton, these units run enaywere from $300-700 depending on the one you get, and these are just to name a few, good luck on your search

the cheapest way to get both wheels to spin is to weld up the rear, its not a great idea for a city truck but if your lookin for some good traction in the mud, its the cheapest way to go
