Hard Steering: 94 F-150 5.0

Hi i am new here and I was wondering if you could help me. My 94 F-150 has a hard time steering at idle speed and slower. Its like it doesnt have power steering. what do you guys think?

What's your idle speed? Have you checked the fluid? How did it look? Are there any signs of fluid leaking?

Good? how good? Get a old turkey baster and suck out as much as you can. Then top off with fresh mercon ATF. If that makes a difference, do it three or so more times.

An idle speed of 2 might have something to do with it as well. lol.

well my other freind has the same truck as me but his does not do it.

I was trying to determine what you meant by "2". It won't run at 2, it won't run for long at 200, and if it's idling at 2000, you've got other issues.

Its idling around 7500.

Huh? The redline is 5500 rpms? What are you actually talking about?

It idles around 2-7 mph, thats what i ment.
