Is there a bleeder valve for power steering?

Hi..

86 f150 4x4-- 300 six...

It cut the power steering belt a few weeks ago.. Somehow in the process it warped (BADLY) the drive pulley. The pulley had fused on pretty good, and a junkyard pump was $35 complete, so I decided to quit messing with it and just 'swap' the pumps..

Once I got them swapped-- I went to look for a bleeder valve (since it's a hydraulic system, I expected to find one).. Alas, I don't see ANYTHING that resembles one..

Does the air (if any entered) get worked out over time-- or am I missing a bleeder somewhere..

It's summer, so the truck sits more than it moves.. I ride my motorcycle as much as possible.. Just don't want to do more harm than good.. The truck has been good to me, for the $500 I paid for her.

Bleeder valve.NONE
Does the air (if any entered) get worked out over time-- YES

Keep an eye on it, and add PS fluid as needed untill all of the air gets
out.

Does it squeel? Noise will indicate air in the system. With the engine running, turn the steering wheel back and forth from one stop to the other a couple times. DO NOT hold the wheel hard against the stop. Recheck your fluid. Bleeding is complete.

Thanks-- That was what I was hoping..

I'm going to start a separate thread.. I can't seem to get the pump to line up 'correctly' and it keeps flipping the belt upside down..

Ugh.. Looking for this saga's end...
