where oh where has my inertia switch gone?

Can anybody tell me where the inertia switch location for an 86 f150 is?

How about a pic so I can identify it??

My poor old truck wont run due to a low/no fuel pressure problem, both tank pumps refuse to work but the external pump on the frame rail runs(replaced 2 years ago).

I'm pretty sure that if the HP pump is running the inertia switch is OK. I would suspect the selector switch on the dash may be bad. I would pull it out and test it.

The frame pump has to be fed fuel from the pumps in the tank, or it won't run. It will idle, but spit and sputter under throttle. The tank pumps are low pressure supply pumps. The frame pump is not designed to syphen fuel, so it has to be fed fuel by the tank pumps. However, if the frame pump works, the inertia switch and fuel relays are all ok. You most likely will have to replace at least one of the tank pumps.
