1989 F150 Project

I got a 89' F150 4.9L 5spd 2WD 130k miles. Tranny is beeeautiful, shifts like butter. The 4.9 is a great motor, can't kill it,but soon I want to put a 5.0 in it. I came here for some questions, cause I know alot of you know your **** and can help me out with information.

5.0's are everywhere,I'm going to try to get one out of another F150,not a mustang. With the stang 5.0,I'd have to make a few modifications I believe. If I got a 5.0 out of another F150,I shouldn't be worrying about having to mod anything for it to fit in there and everything hook up. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Another question I need answered is,will this 5spd tranny match up to a 5.0 out of another F150? Right now,it's got the straight six in there,I'm not sure what model tranny I got,and I know somebody on here can help me out with that.

Thanks alot,help me out!

Where did you order that all from?

How bad was it? I've never replaced a computer,or whole harness. I've heard theyre pretty easy, everything is labeled all down the whole wire,of each wire.

thanks alot, you've been a big help.
