Angry idle problems

I have a 92 f-150 5.8 L that has been giving me idle problems for quite awhile. Have spent good amt. of $ trying to find out whats wrong. also have replaced idle air control valve and egr valve and o2 sensor. Getting ready to replace the throttle position sensor--I can unplug it and it runs basically the same only the check engine light comes on. The only other thing I can think of is that the main computer is malfunctioning P.S. have had an hypertech chip for 5+ years, taking it out seems to make no diff.) Ideas welcom, Jim

Spend some time actually trying to diagnose the problem instead of replacing parts. I doubt the tps has anything to do with your idle problem. Also remember that underneath all those wires and sensors there is a basic internal combustion engine. You need to verify that there is not a problem with the actual engine such as a head gasket, a vacuum leak, carboned up valves, etc.
