This note concerns a thread from a few months ago that has been deleted. The problem was a late 80's F-150 that had wipers that would only operate on fast speed. I responded to that thread with a suggested fix that I had heard about but had not tried. Well, I got off of my butt and fixed it. My wiper problem was corrected by finding a little black box behind the wiper and headlamp switch and removing it from the vehicle. There are connectors that will allow the box to be removed so it can be worked on the bench. Small hands help. Open up the box, and on mine there were 3 bad solder joints that were easily fixable. Slow and fast now both work. I don't have intermitant on my 88 F250 so I don't know if that comes into play. Hope this helps somebody.
