Smile New member and owner

New member here and new owner of a 95XLT 4x4 Supercab. This truck is in excellent condition, 91k original miles. Must have been an older person who owned it before because it has been taken very well care of.
I have a question concerning Keyless entry. Was this an option for this year? I ask since it has power doorlocks but did not come with any remote entry keys. Or can I buy a couple of the Ford remotes and program them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and congradulations on your new purchase. I too just bought a 95' in late March. Mine did come with factory keyless entry. Although not sure when it was added, I would have to look at the options list or previous owner added it. It does have the Ford emblem on the remotes.

Hi Raptor and welcome to the site!! I don't normally read the Pre-1997 Models forum or I would have said "Hello" sooner. I can't help you with your keyless entry question, but I hope the thread that sdmcb posted works for you. Enjoy your truck!

What size motor did you get? If it's the 302, you might want to look at the oil pan. The 302 is notorious for a rusty oil pan which can lead to big problems. My brother bought a similar truck to yours but his is a 94. He got a good deal on it but had a few repairs to do, counting the oil pan. I crawled under the truck to check the pan, and could push the oil pan bottom and sides in with my finger!!!! He also had an issue with the dual tank set-up.

Welcome to the site, there is more info here then a person could read in their life. There are also many nice people around here as well as a goat herder. As far as your transmitter question, I know there was a factory option for it but I believe you need a reciever for for it to work if your truck did not come with it. Hope it helps.
