Question Flex-a-Lite Dual electric fans specifically made for our trucks???

What's up guys!
Has anyone installed the new Flex-a-Lite dual fan fan setup Part # 295 ? I think they are made specifically for our trucks. They also make a bigger dual setup but I believe our radiators are to small for them.
I was thinking before the summer hits I should upgrade my (single fan) Black Magic M150.

Any thoughts?

Why not just upgrade to the mark viii fan. It flows tons of air, and you can build you whole setup for under $150.

The Flex-A-Lites are $$$, I built a setup from LS1 Camaro fans and the VSC controller from Flex. Cost me ~$125...

I'm not sure about the flex-a-lite, but the Mark VIII fan rocks! I put one in my stang and I can't get it to overheat (not that I try, but i'll put in a higher temp switch sometime in the future). There is some detailed instructions on how to do the install at (do a search or i'll find out later) smithmonte.com, I believe mounting instructions are for a stang, but your truck looks pretty modified, so I think you could handle it. The fan will run about $150, but the crap you have to buy with it (bosch 75 amp relay $25, temp switch $20(?), box $5, strip terminal and various wires, a diode, and a switch of course) will run up to maybe $65. Also don't forget that the Mark VIII takes about 100 amps to start up and approx. 33 amps continuous to run. I upgraded my alt. in my stang to a 94-95 130 amp version. and that involves bigger wires and such in itself.

I think they are rated around 4500-5500cfm. It's something insane. They cool 500 and 600rwhp cars fine so...

I have the same setup on my '01 Z71 as on my F150. The Z's setup has been on there for two years in the Texas summers w/o a problem. They draw about 12-14A each also and don't hurt the charging system that Mark VIII fan does.

You will need a 130A alt for any sort of e-fans (a solid 50-65A at idle is what you want) they are under $120. Upgrade that power cable to 4awg and run a fuse or link there.

E-mail me and I'll send you some pics of the fans on my truck.

Mark...

Basically remove the clutch fan from the waterpump and the associated shroud. Then you'll have a huge hole where to mount the fans. I have mine mounted on the radiator frame NOT through the core. That's asking for leaks if you have the weight of the fans being supported by the radiator core.

Wire up the associated fan controller (Flex-A-Lite VSC is the best Ive seen). There is a 25A and 40A version of the VSC, get the 40A version. Wiring and instructions are included.

I used a 3G 130A unit...puts out ~50-65A at idle usually. Now I have a 200A unit, it's a POS so I need to get another one here soon.

I have pics but I don't have a server to put them on. So email me and I'll send you the pics.
