dumb alternator question

dumb alternator question

my alternator went out last night and i have a new one sitting here . I cant get the bottom bolt out of the alternator bracket, it backs all the way into the radiator and wont slide any further, i know there is some kinda trick to getting the thing out but i lft my FSM at my fathers and cant get over there to get it, somone ..be so kind as to tell me wtf i need to do to get this thing out, please

Sorry, its a 93 F150 4.9L w/AC

On mine it wants tot hit the fan shroud not the radiator and I can push it in far enough to get the bolt out without removing the shroud. I have a 92' 302 though, may be different than yours.

Chilton's is no help, but it looks like all of the bolts should slide out, or removal of the radiator.
