Today I encountered a problem when changing my sparkplugs. I couldn't get the boot off of the plug on five of the plugs. Is there a tool that will take it off or a certain trick to doing it? Thanks for help
twist, twist, and twist the boot untill it gives it up, occasionally the boot will rip. There are a special pair of pliers that I got from snap on that have a 90* bend at the tips, and they curve around the plug.
Getting the wires off was the least of my worries last fall when a plug broke off flush with the head (Damn AC plugs). Went ahead and changed the rest of the plugs then started truck. The porcelain then blew out of the broken plug and an easy out removed what was left thank god.
