You guys all have your points and opinions ....... im runnin 39.5s IROKS with the TTB and a 8.8 i do wheel and i was just at a local mud bog sunday... nothing broke and no driveshafts twisted... and just to let you know i dont handle peer pressure well .. i was goin trough nasty sh*t too .. ive had these thires on for 7 months granted they are wore out cause its my daily drive the only part ive had to replace was one TRE and my steering wheel bearings are bad .. so yes i do agree with some of what your saying and im not trying to be a hipocrit but i am switching to 40s and 3/4 axles soon ....but all in all there not so bad in my book.....KNOCK ON WOOD!!

I have to say I'm one with 37's and don't offroad, but personally I did the lift for looks and show. When you have $50k+ into something it's hard to put it in mud and watch it get destroyed. I don't have that kind of money to throw away. I'm more worried about my truck getting scratched than having ball joints or bearing go out. Now if I had a $2500 truck I'd tear it up. As stated earlier, everyone has a different deffinition of wheeling.

Just because you have all that done to your truck does not mean you have to go out and beat the dog **** out of it. You can do light wheeling. Or just wheel every once in a while. Just sayin'.

I want run over a 35 on IFS thats a personal preference not saying it cant be done... and i seen were somone said yall were running street freindly tires... I agree... I have a set of 38 TSL'S and a set of #8x15 Boggers anyone care to try to turn them HARD with your IFS and see how quick your breakage increases? (or how little ***** your truck really has)
EDIT: Here are some pics from running 38" TSL's Granted im not a stock motor making 250 hp but still....
3 Weeks old axle shaft...
Bout 4 month old Pinion...
These were from a Solid axle... imagine the damage on a IFS

whats that axle shaft out of a D44... definitely looks alot smaller than the 10.25 or D60 thats under my truck. I wouldnt be surprised if its a D44, a 460 and 38's will destroy a d44 with the way I drive. Hell a V6 and 40's were destroying my Dodge D60. Now the Ford D60 thats alittle different. King pins, better designed hubs, stronger bearing design Im gonna give it hell with a 460 and 44" boggers and expect to break the stock axle shafts fairly easy. Then it will be time for chromoly 35 spline axle shafts.

Yea its a D44 light weight cause i do straight line racing and no so much turning so they hold up okay that was a 2500 rpm launch... also broke both axles out the 9" all cromo shafts now though and other than a set of spiders thats all ive broke but its enough...

Hey question how thick are 9" chromo axle shafts? Ive never seen them. I just knew i could never break my stock 9" on 35's.
Launches do tend to give up the ghosts

I'm not sure the actual thickness but there bout the same as a stock... I moved to a 3000 stall now... and then my engine went boom so now well see what it holds up like with a bigger power plant in it...

63,000 miles and about 43,000 of those with lift and tires. Beaten my truck pretty good. Only had to replace a sway bar end link and recently replaced tie rods but not do to failure just warn down and time to replace.
