Got Codes p0172 p0325 p0344
I have a 05 F150 5.4l. I had the exhaust manifold replaced do to a leak and the y pipe and cats replaced. It ran fine before minus the leaks and now I'm getting the codes mentioned in the title. The only reason for this I can think of was from taking it to my neighbor who is a local mechanic and he had the exhaust off, he said he couldn't do the job. Then I drove it with the exhaust off to a mechanic who could do the job a few miles away. It seems like its running rich and the codes seem to indicate so. I tried resetting the pcm by disconnecting the battery but it keeps coming back. And help is much appreciated. Thanks

Also note that the 05 5.4's had a bad batch of fuel injectors that like to leak and stick open.

That combination of codes indicates >contradictory< faults. I would start looking for damaged wiring or worse, a bad ECU.
How long did the truck sit without running and why did your neighbor decide that he couldn't do the job? Changing a cracked manifold shouldn't have been that hard.
Unplug the connectors for those sensors and check them for damage and/or corrosion. A lot of half-assed mechanics just YANK them apart and they break the latches and lose the seals and then they get moisture in the connections and those corrode and start showing up as a "bad" sensor when the problem is actually just a bad connection.
Why did you replace the Y-pipe and cats????

The truck didn't sit at all. Took a week to get done. The neighbor said he didn't have the right tools and didn't want to invest in new tool( he is pretty old guy). The y pipe had cracks at the bells and the 2nd mechanic said it would be the best route to get the complete y pipe with cats.

Both your other two codes are circuit codes, if they both came on simultaneously I'd guess I'd start looking at harness issues.
Cam sensor is up front.
Knock sensor in the valley.
Can't picture which way the harness runs, but anywhere the two sensor wires run together would be a good place to start checking over.
Looking for pinched harness, or previously pinched that may have cut the wires in the harness

I got the wrong connector from the parts store and now waiting on the right one. Had the mechanic check out the knock sensor and it works fine. Driving back home I got the codes p2106 p0102 p0113 p0325. I'm leaning toward that this all had to do wit the MAF wiring and connector.y question though is the knock sensor in circuit with the MAF and is it possible for the MAF to be causing the p0325 CODE?

Have you tried the dealer? What do they say? If you can't get one from them, I would search for threads from people that have blown their engines and replaced them. Contact them and see if they have any parts from old engines.
PS It might be worth posting on other model Ford forums (Mustang, Expedition, etc)
