Anybody know what would cause a squeal to come from the drive shaft. I put my truck on jack stands and put it in drive and found that the squeal is coming from the center of my drive shaft. I am thinking it is coming from either my rear end or the transmission. My truck is a 1999 XLT with a 5.4 Automatic. All help is appreciated.

 

I had the same problem with my truck. I replaced both driveshaft u-joints and that took care of the problem. Hope that helps ya.
