squeak that started today

OK, hooked the boat up to my truck this AM, pulled out of the drive way and noticed a squeak that came from the rear end. Did not notice it until today. Drove on it all day, progressively got worse. It squeaks when I take off, then qets softer as i speed up. I can really hear it when i push the accelerator, but if I let of, it quits? What is this? a Universal joint?

It's not that hard to do yourself if you have some basic tools (wrenches, sockets, pliers, bench vise, hammers) and a way to get under the truck to R&R the driveshaft. You could pull the driveshaft and ask the auto parts store if they can press the joints in and out or recommend someone who can.
