04 larait not going into 4x4

when i put it in 4hi or 4low its engages but when u put the tires under load it pops out and makes and huge bang, but when i put it in reverse it works fine? doesnt pop out, i have replaced both hubs and vacc lines and vacc on the firewall.....why is it popping out?
