Ford Racing Ring & Pinion 8.8 4.10

I found this for sale for $150(Ford Racing Ring & Pinion 8.8 4.10 prt# FMM4209G410) and was thinking it would be a decent performance upgrade for my 07 FX2 SCrew. Problem is, I don't know if it fits my model year, 07 FX2. Can anyone tell me if this will work in my truck? Also, what can I expect to gain from changing the gears? Is it PITA to swap out the ring and pinion?

Currently running:
Motor - 5.4
Rear end - 3.55 LSD (door code is H9)
Wheel - 22"

I believe with a 5.4, you have a 9.75" rear. Crawl under and read the tag - it will either have a "88" or a "975" on it.

Gear swaps are not difficult, but it requires proper tools and techniques, it's not just a R&R, clearances all have to be set up. It's best to leave it to a pro.

Ring and pinions are cheap compared to the installation cost.

If you have doubts, let a shop do the installation. You don't want to screw it up on your own. Don't rush it. Look around. Talk to the different shops and see what their experience is. I have Ford Racing 4.10 gears and couldn't be happier.
