I'm sure the extra cylinders would make for a tight fit in the F150 as well.

All modular engines use the same bellhousing bolt pattern so any trans that was originally bolted to a 4.6, 5.4, or a v-10 will fit. They also all use the same motor mounts, but the v-10 block has them mounted upside down and backwards (the passenger side goes on the drivers side and upside down and vise-versa) Also the 2v and 3v v-10's use the same block, the only difference is the pistons (the dish is cut or cast in a different shape for the 2v versus a 3v).
Swapping a v-10 into an 04-08 150 can be done but it would depend on what style v-10 you decide to use and what trans you use, the 2v models had a 4 speed auto in the earlier models, while the later 2v's had a 5 speed auto and the 3v's all had 5 speed autos. If you swap in a 2v engine, you could theoretically use a older super duty pcm w/a 4r100 trans and just change the pinout for the trans to make it work w/a 4r70/75. Now if you use a 3v v-10 then you will need a super duty pcm from 05-up and either make the 5 speed trans work in your truck or somehow figure out how to get a pcm for a 5 speed auto to control a 4 speed. You could also do a manual swap because both versions of the v-10 had a manual trans option. If you switch to an e-fan setup you will have just enough room to get a v-10 in there.
If you decide to add more performance to the v-10, you can have your v-10 heads CNC ported just like the 4.6/5.4 heads, cams will have to be custom billet pieces, forged pistons and h-beam rods are the same pieces for a 5.4 JPC racing makes a sheetmetal intake manifold for the 4.6 3v engine and it can be easily widened to fit a 5.4/v-10 and can be extended to add the two extra cylinders of the v-10. I've never seen a production roots or twin screw S/C that is made for a v-10 but you can use a centrifugal type S/C on them.
