LS Question

Does anyone know what type of Limited Slip system is used in the 2004-2008 F150's? I have a 2007 lariat 5.4L with 3.73LS.
I.E. Passive Clutch, Hydraulic, Electronic, etc... Thanks

Clutches.

Why, going for a locker or something selectable?

Considering the pro charger

I posted in the blower section asking if LS was an issue with forced induction. I have enjoyed the 5.4 thus far as I come from a 4.6 with a 3.08 open diff. I was wondering if forced induction used at the track puts any unnecessary strain (LOL unnecessary) on the diff and clutch packs in question. I am interested in the procharger application for the vehicle based on my research and wants. I am looking to keep her a DD that I can play with one weekend out of the month. I may haul something on the hitch a few times a year, but mostly its what ever fits in the bed. Thanks for the answer GLC, I'll be heading back to the super charger section now.

Really? I'm not familiar with electronic limited slip. How does it work?

I thought my 2010 had a traditional clutch pack inside but I don't know anything about it.

The electronic diffs aren't limited slip, they are true lockers.

They offer both in the 2010 - a mechanical limited slip and an electronic locker.

The electronic is only on the 09-10 FX4's and raptor's. The rest of the 09-10's get the regular clutch type like the 04-08 have.
