I believe 4.30's are only available for 8.8" rear axles.

Found a set of 4.30's for 9.75's.

Ford Racing makes a set of 4.30's for the 8.8.

1-if you are talking about the 6 speed auto tundras, that is why, they have more gears in tranny. and 2-the tranny gearing probably isnt the same. just because you have a 3.55 and toyota has a 4.10 means nothing if the tranny gearing is different. ford's trannys could be higher in first gear than toyota or lower, that goes for all the gears. you gotta find out the drive ratio from each gear with the rear end being the way it is. that is the way to get the real gearing for each gear.

Im debating whether going 4.30 gears or 4.56 gears over stock 3.55:1. I think I may go Saleen rims one day for street so I'd like the 4.56 for the power being a 32.6" tire and the weight. But when I go to the track 4.56 gear with 28" tall drag radials may be to much!

well from experience(in a way) i had an 04 f150 heritage(97-03 style) reg cab longbed V6 2wd 5spd XL with 3.08 rear end and weighing 3897LBs. with that i got 18.9mpg average, then with a K&N replacement filter i got 19.9mpg average, and with a K&N 77 series cold air intake i got 22.5mpg average. 0-60 was 9.58 seconds(at the quickest i timed it, could have been better on times i didnt time it) and 2nd gear topped at about 65 mph at 5400rpms(which helps with 0-60 because it is only the shift from 1st to 2nd that it within that time) and 4th gear 100mph was 3600rpms. and 65mph in 5th gear was about 1800-1900rpms. i have a few videos on youtube of my heritage going 0-100 and also of my 08 f150 i have now. my 08 is a reg cab shortbed V6 5spd 2wd with a 3.55 rear end and weighing about 4364Lbs. with the 3.55 rear end i get about 19.9 with the same intake i had on the 04. and 0-60 was the same, but 2nd tops at about 55mph @5200rpms(limiter). so i have to shift twice before i hit 60 which adds to the time. so it would be quicker except i have to shift again. and for being almost 500Lbs heavier, it still hits 100mph about 5 seconds before my 04 did. also 100mph in 4th gear is 4000rpms and 5th gear @ 65 is about 2100or 2150rpms
also when you go from 3.08 to 3.55 your 1st gear launch will spin tired more easily.
my 08 is heavier and less aerodynamic than my 04 was so that is mostly why the MPGs went down. but if you were changing the gearing in your truck(not trading in like i did... long story)then you will be making it quicker unless you have to shift more like i do now.

Fords 4 Speed 4R75E
2.84 1.55 1.00 0.70

Toyotas 6 Speed
3.520 2.042 1.400 1.000 0.716

Tundras may be fast, but I've heard of endless tranny problems as well as many problems just in general with the trucks.
