I have a 2006 F150 XLT supercab; with the 5.4L It has a 82000 miles on it. Recently I tried to engage my 4 wheel drive and the light comes on but it is not engaged. I moved forward and in reverse and it still does not engage. I also switched it to four low and it does not engage either. The light is on and I can hear the motor sound but the front wheels dont lock. Also I had it up on a lift at a friends house and we pushed on the drivers side wheel and I would get a grinding noise. Any suggestions???

had this same problem on my 05
light would come on but no 4wd
it ended up being a bad solenoid and busted actuator on front right
