Light on but no 4wheel drive!!!!

I put my 2004 F150 in 4x4 this morning, the light came on but I got nothing out of the front wheels. Any ideas? The truck only has 50k on it. I even tried 4low and the rear tire spin was horrible in the snow.

Not totally sure about the NBS, but I would start with checking my relays. Generally if you are getting the light, but 4Wheel is not working, there is an electrical problem between the switch and the T-case.

Hope this helps, and I'm sure much more intelligent answers are to follow!

I have an 03 with the exact same problem, just noticed it on my way in to work. I haven't checked anything just yet. But if anyone has starting point that would be great. I'm sure it's electrical - I just hate searching. Maybe I'll get luck and just have a popped fuse.

both my expy and f 150 had the same problem. all i did was crawl under truck and remove the connector to the shift motor and clean the contacts with eletrical circuit cleaner. then used diaelectric grease to reinstall. works fine after that. simple place to start.
