Understanding ESOF Operation
I have always had problems with my 4X4 either engaging, disengaging, or doing anything at all. Usually it clicks and click and clicks than the 4x4 light goes on and I'm locked. Then, sometimes to disengage it, have to turn the truck off then on and the dash clicks and the lights off, disengaged. Well now its back to where I turn the switch and absolutely nothing happens. No lights, no clicks, nothing.
I understand there are two relays on the firewall behind the battery, one engage one disengage. Correct? Any way to test those and see if they are getting power or dead?
From then on the only other electronic component is the actual shift motor on the t-case, correct?
