Power steering help!

Need a little help and maybe a little insight.

Ever since I had my front end done, my truck has leaked power steering fluid.

It leaks everyday and I can see it leaking on one of the suspension pieces down there but I dont know where exactly its coming from. Could they have fudged up or pinched something while my front end was being done? Is replacing a hose cheap enough?

Also, does anyone know what type of steering fluid I need?

I have a 4.6L 2002.

If there's a silver lining I guess its that its not motor oil.

Go to AutoZone and get a bottle of engine oil dye and a UV light. Pour the dye in the powersteering pump and run it for a few minutes then use the light to see were the leak is. Dye wont hurt anything so don't worry about flushing it out.

Had Ford look at this. Bad seal in the steering box. They want $690 to fix it.

Any suggestions? What does this entail to fix? How much of the front end has to come apart to get to the pitman?

UNREAL!

I have a '89 F250 which developed a bad steering box seal leak a couple years ago. I don't drive the truck often (at 8 mpg it's no wonder it only has 75K on it) so I didn't want to put much time/money into it. I poured in some PS fluid with some sort of 'stop leak' stuff in it and the seal hasn't leaked since. Something you might look into as a cheap (although probably somewhat temporary) fix.
