what gears are best for my 38's?

My truck has a 8 inch suspension lift and 3" body on 38x15.5 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. My truck also has stock gears.. I average about 7mpg around town, 4mpg pulling a landscape trailer all day, about 13mpg with the cruise set at 55mph, and about 10-11 on the interstate at 75-80mph.. what are the best gears to get? i want to maintain some take off power and torque, but if i can see a big enough difference with my gas milleage, i will sacrifice both of those with a new set of gears.. any suggestions guys?

you still wont get as good as a stock truck but it will be a great improvement. your engine is workin pretty hard to turn those tires right now on factory gears..

way better off the line at highway speeds and everywhere in between.

better gas mileage too. I can get 12.5 with mine. I have 35's so you may not get that good but you will probably still get 9-10 even towing the trailer if it's not real heavy.

yeah, like a 40-60 pass on the highway is not impressive at all. with foot to the floor it still drags ***.. my brother in law has a stock 02? Z71 and we lined up and the street and i whooped his *** from 0-45 or so by about 2 full truck lengths. but from 45-80+ he pulled on by me and kept pulling off..

with those 38's and that much lift a regear would probably do more or as much than a supercharger at this point. ya, it will feel that much different.

he ya go so you don't have to ask.
