You'll be alright IMO. I'm running 35's right now on a 3.73 LS... I hauled some pretty heavy trailerloads of stuff out of my dad's house this winter. You won't be the fastest thing on the road, but you'll have enough power to pull it without a problem.

If you're towing every 2 weeks, that's not enough to justify the cost of new gears in my mind. if anything, pick up a Tuner like the EDGE that comes with the Tow setting. It'll help with the lost power.

You dont need new gears so you could just rough it out till the end of summer or.....Go with 4.56's and be happy with your power year round

well my mind changed very quick yesterday, i worked on a 05 f150 with 35's and he had the stock gears (3.73's) with no chip and it ran not much different than mine. you can tell there is a lil bit of weight to the tires but overall performance wise im pretty content with the 3.73's. ive been told by many mechanics that them 3.73's are some tough gears and the lil bit of weight i pull wont effect it enough to change any gears out. only difference will be in gas mileage, but nothin a lil cold air and a tuner wont fix. really appreciate yalls input by the way. hows that edge by the way.

IMHO...having driven both...a stock truuck with 35 inch tires and 4.56 gears is *significantly* more pleasing to drive than a stock truck with aftermarket intake, exhaust, progrramer & 35s & 3.73 gears. This is my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.

Torque multiplication is a wonderful thing.

Want even more power?
Put a programmer on top of all this.
And correct your speedo (because of the 35's & gears) at the same time.
