Interesting new shake

Hey everyone, I got a quick question about a new shake my 92 F-150 has developed over the last week. When I get going about 60 mph I get this violent side to side movement in the steering wheel and vibration in the dash. I know my alignment is way off and has been for a while, just wondering if that is the cause or is something new worn out and in need of replacement. Thanks again for the help!

Hi MadOTC,

I think you are on the right track. Misaligned and/or out of balance wheels can definitely cause some shaking...

Look for signs of uneven tire wear and possibly some 'cupping'....Might check those shocks as well....

My ranger developed some bad shaking at those speeds and
a rebalance and the addition of a steering stabilizer fixed it right up.
