Post 1998 F-150 50th Aniversary Edition

Could anyone tell me how many of these trucks were made. Could you also tell me if they are going to be worth money in the future or be a collectors item.

Thanks

In 1998, Ford made 3000 of the NASCAR EDITION F150. The made 600 with auto and tonneau cover. I have one of the 600. My tag reads 1of600. Nascar racing is and will remain one of America's most watched sports and the NASCAR F150 should increase in value.. in 1999 Ford had some of the badging and stickers left over and stuck then on some regular trucks. Don't be fooled by these. The only True NASCAR EDITION was made in 1998 and only 3000 were made. I'll attach a pick of mine and of the brochure that came with it. Hope it works.

Thats a nice truck you have Omega5 take good care of it there was a guy around here that had one for a while but he wrecked it 2 times the first one was just the front bumper he drove it like that for a couple weeks before he got it fixed then a few months latter I seen it sitting in front of one of the local junk yards all smashed to hell.

hmustang; It only has a tad over 9000 miles on it. I baby the heck out of it. Tears my wife up to see me waxing the underside of the hood and the inside of the doors She just doesn't understand. I want to put a set of JBA headers on it and a Kenne Bell supercharger but my wife just lost her job to NAFTA. She'll be going to school and drawing unemployment for about 18 months. With a daughter in college, that has put a crimp in my plans for awhile. I'll keep the mileage down and maybe in about 2 yrs I'll be able to finish it the way I want.

I dont think he is asking about the Nascar edition, just the 50th ann. edition.

The answer to the question is NO they wont be worth anything. Every 98 made from December 97 or so was badged as "50th anniverary" as this was the 50th ann. of the F-series. There was nothing special to these other than the sticker.

And if you are refering to the Nascar, ignore everything I just said.

actually, i think some of the 50th anniversary had a gold pin stripe or something. nothing you couldn't do yourself for $50.

I agree with J-150. If you refer to the '98 non NASCAR edition, which I have. I can't see anything about this truck to increase its value. I bought mine used and didn't even realize it was the 50th anniversary edition until after I bought it (at a good price I might add). The dealer made no mention of this fact when he showed it to me.

Hmmmm
I thought for sure that the sticker in my back window would add at least 2 or 3 dollars to the value.
Yes, I agree that all of the '98s have the sticker. It may not make it a collectors item but it sure goes to show that Ford has been making great trucks for a long time!
I wear the 50th with distinction!

Now if you get the matching leather jacket with the 50th anniversary patch on it, keep it with the truck and park the truck in the garage for the next 30 years, it will be worth a liltle more.

Not all the 98's were 50th anniversary edition. Yeah they may all have had the sticker in the back window or something, but they did make a 50th aniversary edition, with gold pinstriping, gold accents on the rims, special leather interior, with 50th anniversary in the upholstery. I've seen 2 so far, and they were both lariats with the 50th anniversary edition goodies. I have also seen alot of 98's with the sticker in the rear window that said 50th anni. but there is a difference, and i'm sure it will have some value in the future, though it may not be a huge amount, it should definately be a collectors piece in 20, 30, 40 years.

Anniversary Edition

I have a 1998 F150 Anniversary edition as well. I have all the etchings in the seat plus the gold trim in the wheels. I picked mine up for $3000. It's needs a little work but worth it. I have seen other alot of other 1998's that look completely different from mine.
