Ford Flex looks like a Scion XB (a Box??)

Can't figure out why Ford would make a crossover to look like that Gawd awful looking Scion XB. Discuss what is right with this.

We had them at work today for a Intro Party. I drove this white one a little bit. It rides really nice and handles great. The power is there if needed and just flawlessly pulls the load. While others drove, I sat in the second row. Lots of room for my 6' body, like sitting relaxed in a chair in a room.

It's about 20-24" longer than the XB, and a few inches higher. Much nicer and it's a Ford.
It's a new direction for Ford to try and capture their market share of people wanting products such as this. Something has to change for Ford to survive the long term. New ideas and features will constantly change the auto landscape, we just happen be in the middle of major things going on right now with US manufacturers. It's only the beginning of smaller, sportier, family movers.

The Scion XB looks horrid, the Honda Element likewise is rather heinous. The Ford Flex however is probably the BEST looking example of Ford's "Tri Bar Grille" styling I have seen yet. At least it makes sense on this body style!

If it got decent enough mileage, was reliable enough, and drove out decently, I might buy one for the wife as a kid mover...

As I have said in another thread I think it looks a bit like a Range Rover as well as a Scion but either way its nothing I would want to drive!! Its way to long & if i needed to carry that many people i would but a "traditional minivan" not a shoebox on wheels, it would make a good funeral car though!

i think there pretty neat looking. its definately different for ford but its a whole nother area to make some money so why not make it. so far the ratings for them are pretty good. but i wouldnt buy one just because i have been driving trucks since i was 11 and i cant stand driving cars sometimes.

I love the new Flex's. I have thought of selling my F150 for one of them...

Scion XB is a toaster, hell it even has slots in the roof for the bread.

The Flex is 10 times the vehicle that the Scion Xb is. It has more styling too, as well as features up the yin-yang.

Whoever thinks a scion xb looks like a Ford Flex is an idiot. That's right.

Same here. Maybe a cinnamon or the ink blue with white roof.

Whoever doesn't think the Flex looks similar to a Scion is for sure a complete idiot.

Say it. . . IDIOT.

Okay... don't stir the pot.

Seriously, let's stay on topic here... if you're an idiot or not, you're still held to a certain level of decency while surfing and enjoying the site.
