Question 03 Cobra Mustang Supercharger Question

My nephew has a 03 (I think) Cobra with an Eaton on it. Will swapping to a Kenne Bell be cost worthy to do so?

Well the 03/04 Cobra's are nice and solid, I would suggest looking into a port from Stiegemeier with a smaller upper pulley and a larger lower pulley and increase the boost. I think would be a cheaper route and give the gains hes looking for.

Your nephew has a very nice car. A simple pully change and up graded exhaust is all he will need. They didn't nickname the '03/04 Cobras "Terminators" for nothing!!!!!

With a K/B it is very easy to see a true 600+ whp.

Amen the KB kit is the best HP option you can get. If your really wanting some power go that route.

As for the port and blower change your not looking at a whole lot more HP or TQ gains. I've worked with the "Heaton" blowers on T-bird appliacations and it's just that, the more you spin that blower the more heat it produces thus loss of power vs. the boost increase.

All in all it depends on how much you want to spend. If you sell the blower kit that came on the car from Ford and pickup the KB kit your still around 2k or more in the hole.

No, I don't think that would be worth the cost.

No matter how much work you do to the stock eaton it'll max out at about 12 psi. If it were me I would do the K/B or whipple. I've seen Terminators at 700 hp with a S/C swap and good tune, but at 700 hp you're living on borrowed time with the stock block.

Talking

I am gonna go halves with him on the KB. I told him that I will sport out the $ if he will only run it at the track and that I will be watching the speedo for mileage.

My sister is gonna have a conniption fit.

I'll let yall know what it runs and get some video once it is done.

just make sure you get a dyno tune done by someone who really knows their stuff, if not you can say kiss the engine goodbye.
