Question F150 infant seat...how???

hey all,
i have a 98 f150 xlt (scab) and have a little one due in about a month...just got the infant rear-facing safety seat and wondering if anyone knows, will this work??? lol
i sat the base in middle of the backseat but it hangs over like at least 3 inches. i can't find anywhere online or in the manual (the seat or the truck's) about this kind of issue (the only concern in the manuals is how tight the seatbelt is - which i can understand - but i don't want to install this seat and not be able to leave the hospital with the baby because the saftey seat isn't completely on the seat)
any info/advice/etc. would be great! kinda thinking i might end up having to drive one of the jeeps we have instead and leave my poor ford sitting in the drive....
thanks!

go talk to your dealer.

they have tether anchor kits for baby seats. When I had a 98, Ford gave me the kit for free. I just had to pay for 20 or 30 mins of service time to install it.
