Coolant Leak From Throttle Body

Have a 1995, F150, V8, 5.0, 4x4, Automatic, XLT, w/ 289K miles. Have coolant leak from the Throttle Body. Coolant hose goes in bottom of throttle body and out top. In between is what looks like a port that may have been plugged or a line to something. Investigation has not led to any other location for coolant to go to. It is no longer plugged and is venting/leaking coolant. Believe it may have been plugged and corroded away. Dealer stated same but had no recommendation rather than replace the throttle body, $512.00. Any suggestions as to how to close the port are welcome, any kits out there? Right now I have bypassed the throttle body to avoid venting coolant but this is just temporary. Thanks!

Have you ever heard of J.B. weld this may be the trick you are looking for it is a two part epoxy you mix and then it hardens like steel. Hope this helps

hit the junkyards f 150s are everywhere. pick up a throttle body, give it a good cleaning and you should be good to go. or you can go to a hardware store and pick up an marine plug basicaly a rubber plug with a bolt you tighten and the plug expands. i used one on a old chevy when i stripped the oil drain plug.
