if you have the money i would get a v8 you will be gald when you sell it v8s are worth a lot more used. I have the 4.6 v8 it is fine for everday driving the 5.4 is better for pulling heavy loads. gas milage is about the same with all 3 moters

Hope that model doesn't come with "caps lock" stuck on like your keyboard. But the base model is fine, if you can live without all the power stuff. Did you get the V-8? It's well worth the $400 option..

the XLT is not worth the meager up grade in perks. It's a case of staying low and getting the best vaule for the $$$$$ or going all out and getting all the bells and toys. The XL has more room if your a taller driver, no power window switchs that can hit your leg. ( XLT has longer door handels )

The 4.6 is the better engine than the 5.4 3v, my 04 F-150 xlt was a basterd, my 05 work truck, a XL 4x4 with the 4.6 is awsome to drive in comparsion to the last 2 F-150's I owned.

My daily driver that replaced the 04, is a brand all the Ford guy's and gals hate and I do enjoy my Ford work pick up, but I'm never ever going to go back to buying a F-150.
