Bought a new truck...

No, it's not a F-150 but a used 05 Chevy Z71, ext cab, only seven thousand five hundred Km on the clock, 5.3 extended cab and loaded up to the max, Price was 18,000 Cdn. A retired fellow had bought the truck and due to medical reasons was no longer able to drive and his wife just wanted the truck out of the garage...

The owner paid 39,000 in 04 For this truck and it was used to tow a 5th wheal, but thiers extendted warenty coverage from GM.. and four holes in the box were the hitch used to be... and I hate red, but I will live with it..

First time I have owned a chevy and it has the automatic 4wd/Awd on it, on star, bose sound system, leathier and a center console and it's very very quick.

Sounds like a nice rig! For 18k, you can't get much these days, so I'd say you did good!

Hey Ranger - Can you put up a pic of your truck? I'm curious what an 06 1 ton Ranger looks like. I didn't know such a beast existed.

The transmisson in the Z71 packed it in a few weeks back, good thing the truck came with a extented warentry, Previous owner did use the truck for towing a 5th wheal and I was worried abought that, but for the price I paid and the extended warenty helps out..

My loaner car is 06 grand prix with a 5.3... all it's good for is lighting up the front tires for 3 blocks, Pontiac turned a nice car into ugly, bad handeling, no head room, crappy dash board, 1/4 mile drag racer....

But it is G D fast !!!!
