Ordered a replacement from Ford and received one with instructions for replacing a DB11708 YPY with a DB11921 YPY. Tells me to use the old harness on the new window and splice the black and white reed switch wires together. The new window has a 2 wire harness, blac and yellow, that the instructions said to remove. Now I have the old harness with a black wire that obviously goes onto the same terminal the black wire went to on the new window when I removed the new harness and nothing to attach to the terminal where i removed the yellow wire. Am I missing something? Thanks much for your help

 

I have the same issue with my replacement except I did not receive any instructions in the box. I have not shorted the black and white wires together.

Does Ford make a connector for this? Any help would be appreciated.
