ok so i currently have a 1995 ford f150 xl 4x4 4.9 5 speed reg cab. i love the truck but i took my first long drive of 3 hours and the leg room sucks. im 6'7" and i was wondering if the ext cab had more leg room? i know i could modify the seat and move it back in an ext cab if i have to. just wondering if there was any diffrence

 

my 08 reg cab has pretty good leg room, I am 6'5" by the way, it is a longer cab than my 04 heritage i had(03 style) which was also a reg cab. i also had a 78 which the legroom was still good but not as much. my brother has an 03 ext cab and it seems my 08 has more legroom. it also depends on the seats that are in it. my 04 had a bench and you sat kinda down in it, my brother's has taller seats so i feel like if im riding with him and we crash, my face is hitting the windshield but my shins will be saved by the airbag. my 08 has bucket type seats and i also kinda sit down in. by the way all my f150s were manuals and my bro's is an auto. also his seems like it goes back just as far as my 04's seat did. my 08 feels like its a lot bigger truck. width, height and weight. my 08 reg cab shortbed weighs about as much as my brother's 03 ext cab shortbed. both are 2wd V6 but mine is manual and his is auto. both weigh aboiut 4350ish, my 04 reg cab longbed was same setup as my 08 for powertrain but weighed about 3900ish

 

To answer your question, the extended cab in your year had no difference in leg room. Newer models, 04 up I believe are better across the board, but same in all models..

 

He has an extend cab in his rear? Wow, my wife has threatened stick my truck up my **** when I spend more time with it than I do with her. Guess his wife went one step further.....
